Did u know that home electronics consume energy even when switched off!? Approximately, 75% of electricity used to power home electronics is consumed while the products are off. Televisions consume a lot of energy when turned off which is used in the instant working of the T.V so we don’t have to wait for a minute or two for it to start soon as we switch it on. There’s plenty of fish in the sea! This is a favourite expression which means that there’s an abundance of supply. But the truth is different now. If we don’t do something about it, by 2048, there will be no more seafood in our oceans. That’s a very grim prediction… and it’s not very far away.

Did you know that fishing nets catch far more than intended? The term for non-targeted animals that end up in fishing nets is bycatch. Many animals like turtles, dolphins, sharks, and sea birds, get caught on fishing lines or pulled up by nets then tossed back into the sea, often dead or dying.

Road development, forest destruction, farming, urban sprawl, and the growth of hydropower dams, mines and oil wells all have impacts on our natural world. These developments may be necessary for economic growth reasons, but if they’re poorly planned or managed they can cause serious environmental harm.
