London based Artist Nick Gentry, constructs his canvas using: 35mm film negatives, VHS cassettes, X-ray prints, and floppy discs. The assembly is not a random one, he has an idea of the image he is going to paint and he carefully positions his materials to create, contours, shades of light and dark, that are going to form part of his painted piece. He receives his materials from the public, who send him the items listed above, with a small description of what they contain.
