Bored Panda got in touch with the artist to learn more about their artwork.
To go into the art world, you don’t need to have a background full of art schools and universities, and this artist is proof. When asked about their education, they shared: “I am a self-taught and always learning artist. I find my inspiration in my little feline companion. Each brushstroke is a journey of discovery as I capture her colors, textures, and emotions of her.”
This feline companion, who inspired all their artwork, joined the artist’s studio in 2021. “Fate brought us together, and I couldn’t be happier! I stumbled upon my feline companion behind my housing area, and, awwww, it was love at first sight.”
Creating one such artwork takes “around 3-5 days from scratch to finish,” the artist shared.
Through their artwork, artists want to share their thoughts and ideas with the world. We wanted to know what this artist would like for their audience to take away from their illustrations. “Through PowPow, I hope to convey the sassiness and complexity of these beloved creatures. Each piece is a tribute to their ‘Multitudes’ or so-called Catitude,” the artist wrote.
