Diwali is a festival that we all look forward to. Its a time for families to come together, with sweets, gifts, pakwan, graceful traditional wear, rangolis, diyas and crackers, this festival brings a lot of excitement and joy.
However, what we do not realise is that whilst we are enjoying bursting crackers, we are also creating an atmosphere of unhealthy polluted air for our children to breathe. Also the animals around us, who cant voice their discomfort caused by the loud noises, are adversely affected by our actions.
Euro Safety India, has brought to light this very concern and took the initiative, to spread the message of the negative effects of crackers with their campaign #saynotocrackers
This initiative, powered by Roger Foundation, has helped in creating awareness and encouraged everyone to celebrate a pollution free Diwali, With the help and support of Ek Pehel NGO, Azaan Initiative and Casper's Home.
As part of the initiative, a team of Euro Safety India, visited Casper's Home, a Rescue and Rehab centre for distressed animals to provide vaccinations and food supplies for the animals there. The team organised a drawing competition for children of Ek Pehel NGO, where the children brought a lot of ideas on making Diwali free of air and noise pollution. They even made earthen diyas to set an example for all of us.
Let us take inspiration from the children and along with Roger foundation, let us start to act responsibly and make this Diwali a 'Happy' Diwali for everyone.
