-I painted this piece in response to a conversation I had with my 5yo daughter. She overheard talks of some current events in our country. I had to do my best to explain to her innocent mind some of the "ugly" that exists all around us. Her response was, and I quote: "Daddy, why can't people just love each other?"...I said, "I know sweetie, I agree" ... after 15 seconds of silence she looked up at me and said, "Just Love" ---and that is how this painting was born.
