The joy and struggle of risking it all to do what you love.
I recently quit my full time job to pursue a full time career in pet photography. I worked as a veterinary assistant and I wanted to be able to turn my hobby and passion into a career. I received an opportunity to open a pet portrait studio at the dog friendly mall by me. Well I took it and now I just have to take it one step at a time! I’ve been open a month and there have been some real struggles but getting to photograph these adorable fur babies all day makes it all better!
I love being able to work with all different types of animals and showing off their personalities through pictures! I use colored backdrops and simple props such as treats or blowing bubbles to them to try and get some goofy facial expressions. Then of course I take serious portraits and make flower crowns for the shoots too!
I am truly lucky to have been able to open this pet portrait studio!
