One Of My New Fairytale-Shootings: "The Little Match Girl" [hans Christian Andersen]

I am an Austrian photographer focusing on creative photography. This year I shot a lot of fairy tales with my own visual language by creating sets, costumes, masks and many more things to bring the story alive. One of my latest works was "The Little Match Girl", an fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson. Christmas has become so commercial and stressful. So I decided to pick up this very sad story to reveal how important it is, to care for each other.

The shooting took one afternoon in my studio after a few days of preparation (dresses, set and light). Finally I found two motivated models for the little girl (with a very very poor look) and for the ghost of the granny (such a lovely and funny person): Carina Beringer as the girl and Anita Huber as the granny. My partner helped me with the dirty make-up and the hair to get the models ready.
