So, I saw some posts about stained glass kaleidoscopes awhile back and fell in love and wanted to try making one for myself since I’ve had history with stained glass, and it turned out better than I ever could have imagined. As you can imagine, so so so much work, patience, careful crafting, and most importantly love was put into this piece, and I hope you guys enjoy the end product as much as I do. It’s 5 sides of stained glass, one on the bottom left transparent and made with a tiny slit in the mirrors inside so a flashlight can be shown through and pass the light into the chamber of mirrors. It’s decorated with a ton of accents as you can see, the jewels inside and the on the back outside coated in glitter resin to form a sort of pendant, and then the ring on the back with copper wire delicately strung and coiled to hold the glass dome piece at the end of the kaleidoscope view that is filled with glitter. The end piece also ties in with another accent/handle of sorts to have a better grip when looking into the piece, which this accent in on the right side and is three glass rods coiled together with wire then fused together on the ends with a blow torch, then a bit of a fourth rod was added by melting and bending the glass at very high temperatures to form the knot like glass piece. That was finally coated in resin as was the rest of the entire piece which gives that glass even more of a spectacular shine and look and I am in love with it. Finally the top where the peephole is was done with resin layers, glitter, and paint to form a sort of 3D space look. Anyways, it will be for sale here soon but as you can imagine it is going to be a descent price as I put a bunch of money myself into materials and the sheer man hours it took to get this to be as perfect as I could. I am making an Etsy page and it will be available on there. I will let you all know once it’s done and ready for sale!
