A new company has launched a Kickstarter to fund a hot-button product: Offensive Crayons.
Of course, these particular crayons are not meant for kids. Rather, the brand hopes to sell them to lovers of adult coloring books, which have become a popular form of stress relief in recent years.
With proposed names like Miscarriage Maroon and Travel Ban Brown, though, parents who enjoy to color may be wary to keep these in the house where their children might find them.
'Aren't you tired of coloring with "blue" or "brown" or "burnt sienna?" Us, too,' the company says on the new Kickstarter page.
'So we decided to create Offensive Crayons to liven things up. Gone are the safe colors like "goldenrod" or "red." Now we have "Travel Ban Brown" and "Privilege" (exclusively for our Caucasian backers).'
While production and packaging of the 24 colors is still underway, they've also teased colors like 'B*ner Pill Blue' and 'Two in the Pink', as well as 'Ho ho home invasion red' for a Christmas expansion pack.
So far, the company has raised just $2,092 of its $3,500 goal, but the campaign still has a month to go.
Those who donate $7 or more will receive a pack of crayons once they are ready (recommended for people 17 and over), while $10 or more will also include a digital coloring book.
The idea of 'crayons for adults' has actually been floating around the internet for some time, though this is the first company that's working to actually produce a product.
