On thanksgiving several years ago, my husband’s daughter was drunk. She didn’t act drunk to me but at the dinner table she verbally attacked me after I said something about a nice town I would like to live in. She ask me why did I want to take her dad away? I was stunned and shut down. Later I asked her to talk to me about her outburst. I told her she really hurt me and really embarrassed me. After she said “well I am sorry!” she began to blame me for taking her dad away when we moved to the coast. I told her it was his idea not mine. My husband heard everything and never defended me at all. His family always comes before me. I always feel like I am walking on eggs when I am around them.
