The Texas-based publisher Brown Books Publishing Group recently acquired the worldwide English rights to a Chinese bestselling comic series about a young man and his two pets, Your Highness (better known in China as Wuhuang) and Bubba Boo (also known as Bazahey).
These books are likened to the Chinese version of Garfield meets Grumpy Cat, and have sold over 3 million books in China. "My Cat Hates Me" will be making its U.S. debut the week of National Cat Day 10/29, with book #2 "My Cat Really Hates Me" launching shortly after. Three more books will follow in 2023.
