I've worked for the same company for 21 years in the business office. 4 of us in total in that department. In 21 years I've seen 13 coworkers come and go. I worked from home through Covid at their insistence. After Covid I was not allowed to continue to wfh, I had to go back for the "team". Since then the other 3 coworkers have left and been replaced by 1 in office and 2 remote workers. But the real problem is that all 3 are being paid more than me. They were unable to find replacements without increasing the wage. Actually 2 that left were also being paid more and I had 10 and 14 years more seniority. I've asked for a raise but they refuse. I can't afford to quit. Small town. Few opportunities. I'm 60 and I think I just answered my own question. They don't have to pay me they know I won't quit. That's the real issue isn't it.

Yeah, it sounds like you have to bite the bullet here. Evaluate your opportunities before you do.
