Arie van 't Riet is studied radiation phyics and obtained his PhD at the university. He specialized in radiation physics. Especially in very low energy X-rays.
During his time working in the hospital he discovered the progress of the images and his artistic side ignited within him. Never would he have thought that he would become an artist but that's what happened.
He had always been passionate about flora and fauna and now he found a way to combine it with the use of X-ray.
Nature has always been something worthwile to capture on camera but Arie van 't Riet is taking it to a new dimension by using X-ray photography which enables him to capture the essence of nature.
His work is currently being displayed among some other very wellknown artists at Morren Galleries in Amsterdam. A gallery which is located right next to the Rijksmuseum.
