A close by dwarf star that is much colder and smaller than our sun has been discovered to have 7 exoplanets around the size of the Earth. This star does not have an official name--and neither do the planets--so scientists are currently calling it the TRAPPIST-1 star. The system is about 40 light years away--that's over 235,160,000,000,000 miles! The planets are all very close to each other; if you were standing on the surface, you'd be able to see all six other planets without a telescope. This system is close to the top of the list of planets scientists will search for life on. For more information, visit www.nasa.gov.
