Romances come and go, dramas send us on an emotional rollercoaster, and comedies make us forget our woes for a moment, but there’s one story genre that will never go out of fashion.
We’re talking about murder mysteries that can only be solved by the likes of Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, and You. But, because not all of us have the time to invest in reading a daily dose of a crime novel or watching a mystery movie, we found a short-form substitute that might even be more thrilling—murder mystery riddles!
Before you set out to solve a mystery, here’s a fair warning: don’t do it at work! Not because these story riddles are too scary for that, but because they’re so addictive.
Once you get a whiff of a mystery, you might get so invested in solving it that hours might pass by you unnoticed. And while that’s all fine while you’re at home, it might not be the best idea to engage in such a hobby while you’re working.
So, grab an old-timey fedora, find a monocle, and let’s get to solving these detective riddles! With over a hundred murder riddles on our list, you’ll be entertained for quite some time. And if you find yourself stuck on any of these mystery questions, we’ve supplemented them with answers in the comments below each submission. Best of luck!

How Do You Solve a Mystery Like Sherlock Holmes?

If you’re such a huge psychopath riddle buff as we are, chances are, you’re short of being enamored with the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes. Well, maybe not with him, per se, but rather with his ability to solve a mystery like it was a child’s play. Understandably, many of us would like to emulate Holmes’ genius, and while that might seem far-fetched at a glance, there are some actual tips on how to do it, like Mister Sherlock.

Observe the details. Leave no stone unturned and no clue unnoticed! Even the smallest details matter to solve a mystery successfully.

Use all your senses. Although seeing is believing, don’t forget the power of touching, smelling, hearing, and tasting. Unless you suspect poison, then omit the tasting part.

Adapt to the situation. Have a suspect? Try to get into their mindset and see if they would do that. The answer to your crime riddle might be right there.

Give yourself time for thought. A bit of quiet time without any outside triggers might be just what you need to form a conclusion or find that last piece of evidence you need to solve a mystery at hand.

Try to employ these tips the next time you’re solving detective riddles; we bet they’ll be of use!
