Understandably, many of us would like to emulate Holmes’ genius, and while that might seem far-fetched at a glance, there are some actual tips on how to do it, like Mister Sherlock.

Observe the details. Leave no stone unturned and no clue unnoticed! Even the smallest details matter to solve a mystery successfully.

Use all your senses. Although seeing is believing, don’t forget the power of touching, smelling, hearing, and tasting. Unless you suspect poison, then omit the tasting part.

Adapt to the situation. Have a suspect? Try to get into their mindset and see if they would do that. The answer to your crime riddle might be right there.

Give yourself time for thought. A bit of quiet time without any outside triggers might be just what you need to form a conclusion or find that last piece of evidence you need to solve a mystery at hand.
