I created these images in my NJ suburban yard. I'm always looking and walking around the yard to see what I can find and use to create. Obviously, I love macro photography, but I try to capture whatever is going on in the yard for whatever time of year it is. The full gallery can be seen on my site.

flake

It was snowing. I had red mittens on.
A little bit of magic

Every time it rains we get a few mushrooms in the yard. This one has a little bit of extra sparkle!
Bee on flower

You can't live in the "Garden State" without good pollinators!
Clover

These pop up in little clusters around the year. Here's one post-rain shoot using and extension tube.
Flowers and flyers 7

This guy was hanging outside of the house. Don't worry, he was unharmed and flew away after hugging the pocketknife.
Midnight snack

When my kids were little we had a trampoline with a safety net around it. This big guy built a web between two of the net poles. I used a small LED flashlight to capture his web and snack.
Morning visitor

Each morning one summer I would see this guy and his mate hanging around the yard, but anytime I went in to get my camera he was gone. I started having the camera out and one morning I caught him.
Skull web

A misty fall morning provided this dewy web. If you look closely you'll see the skull in the middle.
Snail

This is the same mushroom in the "A little bit of magic" picture in this gallery. This little guy was hanging out in the yard. I feel like Mother Nature really handed me a generous gift with all this!
tunnel web

The hedge that was in my front yard was a favorite residence for this tunnel building spiders. If you got close he would scurry down the tunnel.
