My Son Watches The Sunset Every Day And Prays For This Covid-19 Disease To Stop

There's always something magical about the sunset. I don't know about you, but it uplifts our spirits in many ways. When we watch the sunset by the beach, it gives us hope. We hope for things to get better. It teaches us to be grateful for the day. We become optimistic and ask for better days to come.
They say if we want to see things differently and beautifully, we must see things through our children's eyes. Their innocence and thoughts about life is extremely vivid and positive. So for the past few weeks of being quarantined, I have to think of things or activities for me and my children to keep us productively preoccupied. We've researched activities that will make our brains work, as well as, improve our bonding moments as a family.
However, watching the sunset is not on my list. My third son, Wyatt, who is 10 years old, loves to sit on our porch at 5:30 p.m. to watch the sunset. He loves Science and he loves to know more about the Earth (and this Coronavirus). One time, I caught him, but this time, he offered a prayer for the nation. He'd pray:
"Lord, please don't be mean to us. We promise to take care of your trees, birds, and I'll try to eat veggies now. Please stop the coronavirus. I don't want my mom and dad to get sick giving away alcohol and food to people. Can you stop tomorrow, please? Lord, please hear our prayers.
In Jesus' name, we pray, AMEN!"
After that, he'd go back inside and play with his Marvel and DC action figures.
This pandemic is causing a lot of fear. With how fake news is spreading online like wildfire, we must arm ourselves - mentally and physically - positivity and pure love. And we can only find them at home. If you feel anxious, know that you are not alone. Reach out to your family and friends. I know it's hard, but we do what we gotta do.
How about you? When was the last time you watched the sunset?
