He told me a lot about his life before and after he was amputated just under the hip and opened my eyes to a lot of aspects I hadn't thought of.
I drew some beautiful, strong figures with amputated limbs for him (ballpoint drawings on A3 paper). My friend is a forceful character, and I wanted these figures to reflect some of his traits. He and they are anything but helpless.
