My name is Tina and I'm a self-taught ceramic artist from Slovenia. My journey with clay began in 2016 and since I was a kid I enjoyed exploring nature and animals. Love for nature took root in me and most of my ceramic work is inspired by it, including my first Kickstarter project Black Line Ceramics.
On the North coast of Northern Ireland lies an area of 40,000 basalt columns that are the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. These basalt columns have a specific hexagonal shape and dark color. It was the shape and color that inspired me to create something different and unique so I created a line of useful hexagonal-shaped ceramic items from durable black stoneware.
The Black Line Ceramics includes a Whiskey tumbler, Coffee mug, Beer stein, Coaster, and Cigar ashtray. Through their unique design elements, I have created a beautiful homage to the famous rock formation in Northern Ireland. With their hexagonal shape, dark colors, and textured surfaces, these ceramics are the perfect way to recreate the awe-inspiring landscape of the Giant’s Causeway.
