I Always Loved Comics, And Here Are My 22 Funniest Works

Hi, my name is Kowo and I draw comics. Sometimes. After several attempts at other hobbies like music and painting in general, I tried to draw a comic. And I liked it. The first drawings were rough, I experimented with color or greyscale and after a while, I stayed at black and white. Then I drew my first sheep and my sister liked it very much. She really likes sheep. So I invented my two brothers, Sammy and Pete. They are my favorite topic now. I tried to be funny or capture the zeitgeist or include interesting bits of information, but in the end, it doesn't matter. As long they are wacky.

I always loved comics, like Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes. And I always wanted to draw. I couldn't draw and to be fair I still really can't. But I always thought that you can learn anything if you put up with the hours. And I wanted to test it. So, one day I start drawing. And if you look at my first comics, you can see where I came from.

My sister loves sheep, she is also a big fan of Shaun the Sheep. And I must say I'm a big fan too. And I like fables. The idea to use animals to reflect on some of society's problems without being too direct always fascinated me. So I created Sammy and Pete to live in this society we created and let them jump through all the hoops we all do.

I try to entertain. Life is sad enough. If something is funny to me, I use it. I love it when it gets tonnes of likes, but that's not the reason I post it. If my comics brighten the day for a few people, that's enough for me.

For inspiration, I use what I got, sometimes I have a revelation and sometimes life is funny enough for a comic. To be funny on command is very hard, at least for me. But with time it gets easier.
