Tim Norton, San Diego local guitarist and songwriter, was out of work as a performer, like many other musicians. He was greatly missing the weekly concerts he was used to putting on for his fans. Holding a few live stream concerts from home, he wanted to take this to the next level. After a discussion about the potential evolution of concerts post-quarantine and the inability to host even a drive-in theatre concert, he turned to technology and... crafts. He thought, what if I could be beamed into my fans' homes, Star Wars style?! He found a pyramid hologram template through a simple YouTube search and got to business. A couple of hours, $1, and some scotch tape later, he created a hologram video of himself performing an original tune, "Unrelenting". Now his fans can watch him from home, in 3D! Common to the internet are #Challenges and Tim decided to start a #HologramChallenge to encourage others to create an artistic or expressive video and project themselves for us all to marvel at in wonder. Will you try the #hologramchallenge? Here’s a peek at Tim’s hologram! https://youtu.be/y1F69i1t0as
