Mr. Shoes is a metaphorical character, implying everyone out there with great enthusiasm towards art. Sometimes their artistic pursuit can be hardly understood by others, or even considered ‘a maniac’. This project reveals the struggle artists are facing today, debating between financial success and their artistic integrity.

Danyang Ma is a self-motivated visual designer, problem solver, and storyteller from Beijing, currently living and working in New York City. Her practice deals with identities, campaigns, posters, typography, and motions. She believes in providing solutions with constant thinking, along with delivering effective visual stories.Danyang is an MFA Communications Design graduate of Pratt Institute. She carries on her bold and playful style into her business works. Her work ethic focuses on bringing an equal and diverse voice into contemporary design discourse for the minorities and females, enriching the dialogical communication among designers and audiences of design, and provoking cross-cultural design conversation.
