I make motorcycle sculptures using only reshaped, welded, spoons. Each one can take 4-9 months to complete, depending on my ability to find just the right spoons, make just the right bends, and think of a design I would love to have as a real motorcycle. I don't use any heat to bend, or shape, the spoons. I only use tools I've invented to get the exact bend I need for the piece I'm working on.
I got started after my wife had a lot of spoons left over from a project she was working on. Having wanted to design and build my own, custom, chopper for many years, but lacking the funds to do so, I started working out my ideas using spoons. Now it's turned into something I love doing in my time off from my regular, full time, job.
