We found my husbands birth mother And brothers and sisters through social media. He was adopted at 8 months old . His birth mother was unable to care for him as a young girl . She had another young baby and after the birth of her second son (my husband ) she was sent out into the streets with no money, shelter or food . She found an adoption agency which helped her and she made the hard decision to give up my husband . The decision was so gut-wrenching for her that she kept it deep in her heart for years , not telling a soul. She lived every day with pain and an emptiness in her heart .
Fast forward to 29 years later , we find her and her family. They are a beautiful family . She is married to a wonderful loving and supportive husband and has 3 grown children . One is my husbands full biological brother. The other two are his brother and sister half siblings. We connected with them right away and decided to go to Colombia to visit even though we speak two different languages, the love transcended any language barrier, awkwardness and fear. It was the most beautiful moments I will ever witness in my life! We still keep in close contact with our family. But we are unable to make visits because we do not have the budget and 5 young children and it is tough to do . Our initial visit we did a go fund me and we got enough contributions in only 2 hours to fund our entire trip to Colombia. My hope is someday our family can come visit us in the USA! That would be a dream come true! Thank you
