Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Get your camera, turn it on, open the door and make a video of all the plates chashing at the floor. Upload on Youtube, the video will be a hit and with the Youtube money, buy the plates again! Awesome!

The door slides to the right. When you open it, very slowly, they will either jam where they are or at least stay fairly stable so that you can catch them before they fall. Then you have to push them up and back on top of themselves to get them back on the shelf they belong on.

Photoshop it back on to the shelf. No one gets hurt.

I agree with number one in that you have to decide if the bowls are more important then a pain of the glass. But, rather than smash the glass I would drill a small hole in it and use A chopstick or something similar to push the bowls back. That way you may have a small hole that you are OK living with until you can replace the pane of glass

Don't do anything about it - leave it and call it "art".
Or become a magician and free the plates from gravity.

Find glass cutter, cut top 2 glass window squares, pickup the plates & replace the glass window later. Better to hire a professional glass cutter to do it.

Open the door slowly and wide enough for your hands to slowly stack back those bowls

Let the plates all fall down and spend the rest of time eating your dinner off the floor!

Open the door just about half or 3/4 the height of a bowl. Then try to push with a rod through the inside of the bowl.. this mighy hold the bowls or cause a 1 or 2 second delay falling.... then open the door quickly then catch the bowls.. better if you have someone to help you

Dear Mom!!! This happens when you become greedy and only uses good China when guests come. Just open the Goddamn door and wait untill you left withthe final unbroken untouched ones and simply let you husband and children eat off of that. I guarantee you it will not happen again.

Get all the quilts and duvets from around the house and and lay them out on the floor. Then all the bowls will land on a soft surface.

It looks like a sliding cabinet, slide little by little, adjust the plates and remove them.
