Bored Panda reached out to the artist behind the illustrations to learn more about their creative process and the inspiration behind these humorous drawings. To our entertainment, the artist responded in their drawing manner, infusing humor into every stroke of the pen. Unfortunately, we couldn't present them here, so we will include only their written answers.
Perhaps we weren't the only ones puzzled as to why it's called "Constant Bagel Therapy." Well, the artist wanted to say "cognitive behavioral therapy," but by mistake, they said "cognitive bagel therapy." When they created an Instagram account, they remembered the name and changed "cognitive" to "constant" because they love eating bagels "all the time".
The artist revealed that they make a list during the day and in the evening, they try to draw everything on the list, sharing the results on Instagram. They mentioned, "I don't use a sketchbook; I draw each idea once. If it doesn't work or I don't like it, I just delete it."
When the artist gets creative, they like to think up funny and silly things to draw. But the real magic happens when they put pen to paper—they take those already silly ideas and make them "even more silly".
If you're wondering about the tools the artist uses for their illustrations, the answer is simple: an Apple Pencil. Just picture what kind of drawing we got when we asked about their choice of tools!
