I Did These Paintings With Microsoft Paint

I am Jerina Francisco and I'm from the Philippines. I just wanted to share my old hobby with you. As a child, I remember doing scribbles on Microsoft Paint then filling up the spaces with different colors and feeling like a pro after seeing the results. I guess that is when I became so fascinated about this software. Later, I tried copying illustrations from coloring books and when cellphones with graphic messages came out, I also tried making copies of them. I stopped doing artworks due to school but I'm still inspired by digital arts. I tried Adobe and similar applications but ended up with my first love. My works are basically created using brush (airbrush/spray) tool and lines for details.

Creating artworks on Microsoft Paint has helped me release stress. It's like an escape from everything. Therefore, I hope that I could also inspire others to try it.

Who doesn't find pandas cute?
They look very basic. Their colors are just black and white but doing furry animals quite takes time because I have to put their fur one at a time.

 

It's our first picture together and this is supposedly an anniversary gift. I spent about a month to finish it because I couldn't get the skin tone right.

 

It's one of my favorite among my works. It's wallpaper size, so it took me quite some time to finish and the color combination is a bit tricky.
