We were very curious to learn about the inspiration behind Tiberiu's decision to become a barber. He opened up to Bored Panda that what inspired him wasn't a person or a specific moment, but "the desire to do something in life that I really liked and I wanted," without pressure from others.
"I tried other things in life before coming to the hair industry, for example, going to university and I didn’t really enjoy it. It was something that my family wanted me to do and not me. And after some time I decided to drop out and pursue my dream of becoming a successful barber and businessman," he shared.
Bored Panda asked Tiberiu what keeps him passionate about what he does. "What keeps me motivated to do this nonstop is the job itself. For me, it’s a really rewarding job and it fills me with joy every day. To see the clients having problems with their hair, with their appearance and then to see the happiness and confidence that I can give to them with only a haircut is so satisfying to me," he shared with us.
"The clients are also a big motivator for me cause I really enjoy hearing their stories, talking, becoming friends with them and growing with them as well. And I really love art and this is also a really artistic job."
According to Tiberiu, there was no specific moment when his videos suddenly went viral. It was a slow, organic process. "With my first salary from barbering and the help of my mom I bought a phone with a decent camera to start to film videos, because I knew that posting on social media is the most important and powerful thing you can do to boost your clientele and business," he told Bored Panda.
"I tried different types of content and got really no views and I started to see what really does well and what not to post." Something that got lots of popularity was when the barber started posting videos of clients with long hair and "really got more into showing that I know got to cut a lot more types of haircut with long hair and not only fades like every other barber."
"For, me it worked posting big hair transformations because it has a big wow factor and everybody can really enjoy my videos."
Tiberiu said that, aside from using conditioner and following common industry tips for maintaining your hair, he suggests "trying all kinds of haircuts, because hair is really make-up, and to not be afraid to change it cause you have nothing to lose, your hair GROWS BACK."
Tiberiu has a whopping 406.8k followers on TikTok and has amassed a jaw-dropping 32 million likes across all of his videos. Meanwhile, on Instagram, he has a further 44.6k followers.
If you happen to be in the Romanian capital Bucharest and want to reserve a haircut with him, you can either send him a direct message via TikTok or Instagram, or register on the Fresha site online.
Your lifestyle has a direct impact on your physical and mental health. If you eat a nutritious and balanced diet, avoid unhealthy habits, get plenty of sleep, take your vitamins and minerals, and stay hydrated, you’ll look and feel great.
On the other hand, if you party 24/7 and eat ultra-processed products and junk food all the time, it’s going to affect your body, including your hair, negatively.
According to Healthline, some of the main factors that affect your hair health, as well as its rate of growth, include your age, overall health, and genetics. Other important factors are environmental exposure, the medications you take, as well as your diet.
Naturally, some of these things are out of your control. However, you can change others, for instance, your diet.
The vitamins and minerals that you get from eating food play an important role in the hair follicle growth cycle and cellular turnover. Deficiencies in the following nutrients can lead to hair loss:
- Vitamin B12;
- Vitamin D;
- Biotin;
- Riboflavin;
- Iron.
Healthline explains that hair loss, commonly known as alopecia, has many known causes, including:
- Genetics;
- Hormonal dysregulation;
- Hypothyroidism;
- Tension on the hair;
- Trauma;
- Infection;
- Chemotherapy;
- Diet-related factors like nutrient deficiencies and supplement use.
What’s more, the cells that make up the hair bulb have a high turnover rate, meaning that they’re very sensitive to calorie and protein deficiencies.
Not only does your body need sufficient fuel, but it also needs plenty of amino acids.
In other words, sudden shifts toward a low-calorie and low-protein diet can result in hair thinning, brittle hair, or hair loss in some people.
