#1 Love Ya

The props I use are mostly secondhand or homemade. The ghosts in the spooky photo for example are just handkerchiefs tied with a bit of rope and some googly eyes glued on them. Sometimes keeping it simple is the key to a great prop.
A question I get very often is: how do you get your guinea pigs to stay still for photos? And the answer to that is: I don't. You have to be really quick. Make sure you have your photo setup and camera settings ready. You'll only get a few seconds to get your photo, so you don't want to waste those precious seconds to get your camera settings right.

#3 Tiny Piggy

Lies usually runs away from the photosetting after 30 seconds. If I put her back after that she just runs away immediately. And that's OK. It's her way of telling me she's done being a piggy model.
Sometimes that is a bit discouraging because setting up or creating the props took me several hours. But your pet should always be on #1. So if they don't feel like being a model, you should just try again some other day.
The photos make lovely memories, so to me, it's definitely worth the effort.
