It started with me realizing that me and my sister started to grow apart. I didn't like it so I asked her if we can do something together. We both love photography and luckily we enjoy being on different sides of a camera, me - behind, she - in front of it. That simple idea of doing something together led us to places we never expected and we will be forever grateful for that.
Our journey started on 24th January 2014, the day we shared our first photo inspired by Coco Chanel with a little note explaining why we find her inspiring. We kept doing just that for next 50 weeks - reading about an amazing woman, writing a little note, taking a photo and sharing it on our blog with our friends and everyone who wanted to see it.
In our wildest dreams we didn't expect it to become so transformative for us and everyone we shared it with. It turnes out that trying all these different faces we were actually trying to find our own, that bringing all these amazing women out of the shadows we were learning what it takes to change the world.
The project ended on 25th January 2015 but until now was only available in Polish. After several requests from my international friends I've finally finished translating it to English and we're ready to share it with the world.
The whole project, 50 different faces, is available here: https://50facesofmysister.blogspot.com/, I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed making it.
