Where the mind is without fear and the head is usually, into the heaven of tranquilising charm, my father, let my soul reside!
The routine life of Delhi was taking its toll on us and the pursuit of finding a quaint hideout led us to Malana- an awe-inspiring village tucked in the heart of gorgeous Parvati valley. At 8000 feet and 22 km to the Northwest of Kasol, Malana is a secluded haven epitomised by breathtaking escapade of nature, old fashioned wooden houses, serpentine bylanes, and humble residents.
So, without thinking much we simply booked a package from Travel Triangle and begun our quest for the unknown.

Chandrakhani and Deo Tibba peaks overlook Malana and turn the village into a picture-perfect location

It’s time you took a tour of the village that has its own laws and where hashish is the primary source of income of its residents. It will leave you spellbound with its charm and captivating beauty, just like we were

Malana river greeted us with grace as we entered the valley. The soulful sound of water hitting the rocks thus creating a symphony is still fresh in our ears

We negotiated through the dangerous curves before finally reaching the Malana village. The serpentine pathway is good for trekking and was worth our efforts

By the way, did I tell you that the residents of Malana are believed to be the descendants of Alexander the Great.

Our stroll in the village was followed by a sumptuous dinner inside the hotbox. The delicious nutella chapati and chocolate chapati were mouthwatering. And then we called it a day

Next morning we woke up to this

That’s our guest house, Dragon guest house. The overnight snowfall had left the valley under a sheet of snow. During that moment we were the luckiest people on the planet!

Though things became tricky with heavy snowfall, we were pumped up to take the adventurous trail that led to the waterfall lying in the backyard of the village

And this is how stunning the Malana village looked at night after a heavy snowfall throughout the day. This is the moment we realized that night stay in Malana must be a part of every Kasol trip. The night view here is magical

While returning we stumbled upon the recreational arena where villagers gather to chat, play cards and smoke hashish

The thrill of drifting on the frozen ice made our hearts skip a beat! There’s something special about Malana that pulls every nomad towards itself. As you book your Himachal tour package, ensure you get some time to explore this hidden paradise in Parvati valley as well. Trust me, it will be an experience for lifetime
