Making Ceramic Light Sculptures Reconnected Me With Nature And Myself

Before I moved to the capital, I lived in the countryside and loved working in our garden with my father. After 6-7 years in the busy city working in the film industry and spending long hours retouching my photos I really felt the need to release all the stress and I knew that I needed to find a new path for my creativity and feel the flow again. As a photographer light is everything to me, no wonder I immediately fell in love with the works of Eva Bertok - who soon became my master. She is both an artist and an Art Therapy teacher, living and working in Budapest. She showed me the Pre-Columbian techniques, thought me how to work with clay and I met dozens of interesting women (and a few brave men) at her classes who gave great advice and shared amazing life-stories. I would like to encourage everyone to visit Eva's classes or to find an art therapy studio nearby because working with clay and creating something that comes naturally from within is truly powerful, grounding, healing.
I love working with clay because there are no limits to imagination, I make lamps that cast amazing splashes of light in any room and create a very intimate atmosphere. I can also give space to my humorus and geeky side and make one of a kind fan-art lamps and ceramics.

One of the first styles I started experimenting with was Art Nouveau and Minimalism

I'm a big fan of astronomy and Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince, so last year I made a 70cm tall astronaut and a few weeks ago, his little companion finally joined him.

There is another duo of good friends (wearing blue and orange), my very own 40cm tall R2D2 and BB8

My favourite lamp that always makes me smile

...and probably the coolest of them all

My love for travel inspired many sculptures, including this suitcase lamp that took several days to make and paint

This is a lightbulb which literally tells you to "Light it up", "Let it shine" and "Let there be Light"

This lantern and lamp was inspired by my trip to Morocco

I love to experiement with colours as well

and of course I love making cute nursery lamps
