In 2014 my final year studies at Central St. Martins sent my anxiety into overdrive. It was at that point I decided to use my craft to do something about it. During that final year, I developed the 'Cure For The Itch' collection of antianxiety jewellery, ergonomically designed to subtly satisfy fidgeting fingers triggered by day-to-day anxieties.
In the hectic hustle and bustle of modern life, we have subconsciously developed fidgeting coping mechanisms to vent nervous energy, from nail biting to hair pulling. Each piece has been considerately shaped through extensive testing, to suit a different style of fiddling. The discreet designs allow wearers to refocus these actions onto the pieces and be comforted without engaging in a bad habit.
I now create each piece by hand from my studio at Sarabande: The Lee Alexander McQueen foundation.
The Cure Fore The Itch signature collection is currently stocked Alexander Davis Jewellery, (1A Duke Street, Bond Street, W1U 3EB) and as well as online at:

Pocket Pebbles are luxury objects to be kept in the pocket and discreetly used in day-to-day anxious scenarios.

Each piece is handcrafted and unique. Resin components subtly encapsulate traces of comforts, without directly engaging in them (pictured products encapsulate cigarette ash and 23ct gold).

A piece for anxious smokers - Fiddle Sticks brooch is a one of a kind piece, featuring 6 fiddling sticks held in a 18ct gold vermeil holder.

Spinner rings make a stylish statement, whilst spinning smoothly on their ebony base.
