Given the chance, Bored Panda reached out to Aurelio to find out a little bit more about him and his passion. First, we asked the talented makeup artist if he had any major influences who might've helped him develop his makeup skills.
"I am always influenced by everything around me, there are so many great makeup artists that I look up to. I consider myself someone who always wants to keep learning and growing as a person and as an artist."
Seeing Aurelio's incredible transformations we couldn't help but ask what is the hardest part of it.
"The hardest part to my transformation is taking it all off. I genuinely do what I do with so much love and it takes hours to transform and sometimes weeks to prepare that I try to enjoy the final results as much as possible."
The makeup artist has done a lot of transformations as you can tell but we wanted to know which one, in particular, was his favorite.
"My favorite transformation right now is definitely Mariah Carey. I grew up listening to her music and always felt in such a high place I never imagined I would now be an illusionist creating and transmitting one of my favorite artists of all time. I am so appreciative towards all of Mariah Carey’s fans for all the love and support they have given me for something I do with total respect and admiration towards Mariah Carey and her music."
Doing makeup is not easy, however, for some, it can be quite therapeutic. Still, that doesn't mean there aren't any challenges.
"The most challenging part is not the makeup process but the essence of creating a character and delivering the illusion in the best possible way."
We were also curious to find out how people reacted to the artist's work online.
"I have the best supporters ever! They have given me all I have and all I continue to do. Their reaction continues to allow me to evolve, grow and become a better makeup artist and illusionist every day."
Motivation is a really important aspect of every artist's life so we wanted to know what motivates Aurelio to continue creation.
"I receive so many beautiful comments and messages from people all over the world and that is what truly motivates me. To be able to create just a moment of happiness for even just one person is one of the things that really make me happy. I am blessed to be able to do what I love and share it with the world."
