When boredom kicks in, a few minutes can seem sooo long...
Sooner or later we all give in the temptation to consult a watch. We chase the minute hand slowly creeping over the clock-face as time ticks away. Once caught in the loop, we feel like time just doesn't want to pass at all. Well, that was yesterday! There's a way to make the glance at the clock a challenging game, as a small start-up company from Paris recently has proven. A team of two young creative minds have stuck their heads together and invented a digital clock, that is way more than just a simple wall decoration.
This is the ALBERT CLOCK. The smartest clock ever mounted on a wall.
The clock invites you in a playful way to exercise basic mathematical operations. After a bit of practice, it makes the calculator redundant and enables you to easily juggle with figures.
The maker of Albert Clock, Designer Axel Schindlbeck, describe his invention as his “first attempt at changing something about the world we live in.”And indeed... “Albert”, as the clock is affectionally called by it's inventor, makes the heads of students from over 15 countries spin as it has already found it's way to the classrooms.
Where is the small Paris-based enterprise heading to in the future? Only time can tell.
But one thing is for sure: they will stay true to the companies spirit by developing products that “reveal your curiosity and make you smile with ideas that can improve your skills and make you smarter.” Creativity, that's with a capital C.
