Made Of Mineral And Vegetal

My name is Amélie Berton, I am a French fine art photographer located in multicultural Brussels. In my series Made of Mineral and Vegetal, I collaborated with a make-up artist to experiment body painting in my self-portrait. To do this self-portrait I had to step out of my comfort zone. This is a collaboration with a make up artist and an other photographer in his studio. First time I work with a team.

I added very simple props to this mineral texture, some ivy and some ferns to add the vegetal. In these photographs I wanted to express the tension in the uncertain coexistence between man and his natural environment. The delicate balance of nature is too often ignored and damaged.
