Thomás Tavares from Brazil always thought he was on good terms with his beloved turtle pet Odette, until one day she disappeared without leaving him a note. The man was left heartbroken and worried for his pet. But when Odette returned, there was strange evidence showing the turtle was busy having fun - without her owner...
"She was gone for three weeks, until last weekend," Tavares told Bored Panda. "I was leaving home with my mother when I saw her... Then I noticed there was something on her shell."
There were gold, heart-shaped party stickers on Odette's back, and Tavares couldn't explain it. When the man shared the photo of Odette with stickers on her back on Facebook, one of his friends who lived nearby solved the mystery. She said she saw the same turtle in her niece's 2nd birthday party.
Tavares was obviously relieved to know where his pet had been, but still, the man clearly felt left out and a bit betrayed. "I think it's amazing, but I'm kind of annoyed, you know?" he said. "She could invite me along for the next adventure. I hate staying at home." Now that the party girl is back, the two will clearly have a lot of serious talking to do.
