Hello! My name is Whisper and I am nine and a half years old! I was adopted from the shelter when I was just a baby. Mama said her daddy had just passed away and she needed a reason to smile. Now she smiles everytime she sees me!
I love eating all the foods mama does! She loves toast and butter and I love sneaking up and licking all the butter off before she realizes I’m there. I also try to steal her pizza and yogurt. One of my favorite games is hiding in tents that she makes on the bed and on the couch. My favorite toys are hair ties, string, the curly ribbons on packages, and the tiny red dot. She keeps getting me lots of different toys, but I am a princess and know what I like.
Recently mama and I moved back home to live with family. I’ve been having a hard time getting used to living with other people (there’s even a big doggy and a toddler!), but I’ve been doing my best. I’ve been getting lots of extra cuddles and treats to help me adapt.
Two years ago I had an allergic reaction to my coller and I lost all the fur around my neck and on my chest. Mama took me to the vet (scary!) and they gave her medicine to help me. A little bit after that, the pupil in one of my eyes was suddenly a lot larger than the other one. We went to an eye specialist who said that it was just old age which made me mad because I am a baby and my mama said so!
My eyes also started becoming really runny and gunky and the vets gave mama eye drops to put in my eyes. I hated them, but they did help a little bit. Unfortunately, my eyes kept going back to being runny and gunky once we stopped the medicine. We went to several different vets over the last two years.
A couple months ago after we moved, the left side of my face started getting even worse and mama noticed that I was wincing and closing my eyes more often. She immediately took me straight to the vet, but they just told her I had an infection and not to worry.
Mama kept worrying and a few weeks ago while I was sleeping under mama’s chin I started jerking uncontrollably. Mama was super scared and started crying. Once I stopped she immediately called the vet and said that I had had something called a “seizure”. I had one more while she found a vet that could help me.
We left immediately and I started having a third seizure just as we got there. The vets were scary because they had big needles and lots of tests, but they helped stop me from jerking again.
I had to stay at the vet for a couple nights while they arranged for an MRI. The vets kept telling mama that I looked fine, but she kept saying that I needed an MRI. I had my MRI and the vet who called mama looked really sad.
Mama sat me down and talked to me when we got home. She said that the vet had found an inoperable tumor inside my head called a falcine meningioma. She said that my only option was radiation therapy. I have an appointment with a radiologist in the middle of May, but Mama said it’s going to be expensive and I might need to stay with the radiologist for three and a half weeks! I can’t even count that high!
“I have a gofundme set up to help me get Whisper into the radiologist. The initial exam will be between $1,200 and $1,300. The radiation therapy will be between $5,500 and $6,000. If you can help by spreading Whisper’s gofundme or donating then you will be making a huge difference in her life!!!! Any donations are appreciated no matter the amount. Your help means so much to me and I can’t thank anyone enough for their help on this journey.”

Just a gorgeous, gogeous baby

Whisper loves her catnip pancake toy! It's one of her favorites!

In the event of guests, kitty will judge from a safe, but very visable location

Occasionally, one must simply sit and watch the world like a Queen.

Magnificant whiskers are on display as she shows me her favorite birds.

Nap time with the baby!! Whisper loves piggy back rides. They are the only way she likes being carried :)

Chonky baby with cheeks you can't help but squish!

Lazy mornings, weekday mornings, all of them should start with the proper amount of cuddles.

Whisper loves it when I hold her paws while she sleeps.

hmmmm...she senses momma was thinking of getting up. Activating kitty eyes!

Blep :P
