Tiny wooly lambs in knitted jumpers are just the antidote we need right now.
While you may not be able to cuddle them in person due to current COVID-19 restrictions, not-for-profit farmed animal sanctuary Edgar’s Mission, based in Australia, is offering free virtual tours to provide you with a weekly dose of joy.
With over 450 rescued residents in their care, every Saturday at 2:00pm AEST, Edgar’s Mission will focus on a different animal area of their 153-acre sanctuary.
Following last week’s popular tour of Piggy Paradise, this Saturday 5 September, the spotlight will be on their newest additions – little lambs.
“These precious babies have been given a second chance at life,” shared Pam Ahern, Edgar’s Mission Founder & Director, who will be hosting the virtual events.
“After overcoming terrible circumstances including harsh weather, poor health, neglect, and more, it is wonderful to see them leaping with joy and cuddling up with their favourite teddy bears in the safety of our heated nursery.”
Lambs include Rocket Man, Kiki Dee, Philadelphia Freedom (known to her friends as Philly), Honky Cat and Daniel – all named after Elton John songs.
Future tours will include Chicken Village and Goat Mountain.
