Bored Panda reached out to the creators, who told us more about the creation of Drogo's adventures.
“We don’t follow strict steps but love imagining Drogo in real life. Everyday situations and objects inspire us, and we imagine and visualize how Drogo would interact with them, making his adventures feel natural and relatable.”
Since there are two creators who work on a project, we were wondering how they manage to split the work of drawing and designing.
The brothers shared: “Our drawing styles are almost identical, so we don’t need to split work meticulously. Sometimes one sketches roughly, and the other adds details; other times, one completes a piece independently, making our process seamless.”
We were also curious to know where the creators get ideas for Drogo’s interactions with everyday objects.
“We see Drogo as a living pet, always around us. This perspective helps us imagine his curious and playful nature interacting with everyday objects, keeping his interactions fresh and whimsical,” shared Manik and Ratan.
In order to keep stories interesting after 10 years, the creators shared what keeps them moving forward.
“Well... Despite our busy schedules since joining the United Nations, we make it a priority to keep Drogo’s stories exciting. He remains our favorite buddy, and we believe he deserves fun and engaging moments. We continually find new adventures and creative ways to entertain him,
ensuring that every story with Drogo is as thrilling as the first.”
We also asked the creators to share what’s the best part of sharing their art on social media.
The artists responded: “The best part is connecting with Drogo’s worldwide fans. Despite not having a comic or TV show, Drogo has gained a loyal following through social media. Fan reactions inspire us to keep creating and sharing his adventures. Facebook even released an official Drogo sticker set, and it brings us immense joy to see people using these stickers in their everyday conversations.
