I am fascinated by birds...all kinds of birds. However, I really enjoy the dynamic nature of shore birds. I wanted to learn how to take different photographs of them, to capture a different perspective, to be more on their level and try to tell a story with each photo. So, I bought a used Nikon D7000, I laid in the surf, put myself in their environment and these are what I came up with. I wanted something different than walking down the beach and having a "looking down" pedestrian photograph. There is so much to learn, and so many amazing photographers to learn from...this is just the beginning.
Not sure if this is a Sandpiper or a Sanderling. They were fast and pretty weary of me

Black Turnstone. I was laying in some pretty smelly, slimy seaweed to capture this one.

I wanted to lay in the water here to show a different view on the height of the bird.
