LALITA'S ART SHOP Launches Crowdfunding for 2nd Educational Game This is no Ordinary Memory Game

On September 13, 2018, Startup LALITA'S ART SHOP, a Quebec company dedicated to introducing art to children's daily life, announced that it is raising funds for the production of a 2nd educational game via a crowdfunding campaign.

Following the success of the first memory game, which is currently sold at museum boutiques in Montreal, Quebec and Ottawa, Lalita's Art Shop is seeking the support of lovers of art, insects and educational games to contribute by buying the game directly during presales or make a donation towards the production of Discover Bugs and Crawlies Memory Game - an educational game where children can discover the world around them through art. LEARNING THROUGH ART AND PLAY - Lalita's Art Shop has transformed the traditional Memory Game to make it a real educational tool by stimulating children’s visual memory while discovering the enchanting world of bugs and crawlies. The bilingual, illustrated lexicon on the inside cover enhances vocabulary and serves as an introduction to entomology— the study of insects, and the fascinating world of invertebrates through the imagination of four talented artists!

MUCH MORE THAN A MEMORY GAME - In addition to being an educational game, it also has an evolving nature. The game may be adapted to different levels according to the child’s age. There are four levels of difficulty to choose from for young children, experienced players, and competitive players. It can also serve as a speed game for advanced players.

"We had the idea to explore a theme that is absolutely fascinating and adored by children - bugs and crawlies! We wanted children to discover the diversity and beauty of these little creatures, so that's why we reached out to four local artists from different disciplines including a tattoo artist, mural painter and cartoonist to design the illustrations for the game.” Said Élise Charette, Founder of Lalita's Art Shop.
