Karen’s Kids

I’ve loved to draw all my life. As a kid , and even now , I find such joy in blank paper , markers and crayons or colored pencils. I’ve been an early childhood teacher for over 30 years and have used my abilities so much in my classrooms. I often trace and draw my kids and have had parents pay me for their child’s pic.

I recently lost my Mom , and find drawing to be the one thing that I enjoy and it comforts me in a way to create. I don’t know when I begin what my person will look like. I recently made a picture of my children at work watching at the fence for the man who mows our lawn. I love all their different patterns. It was a doodle that I liked and colored. He ( our maintenance man ) was so touched he’s having it framed.

I have no formal training I just love to draw. Some of these pics are 30 years old. Some are from high school notebooks. I’m wondering if it would be worth sharing my art. It makes me happy and maybe others would enjoy them.
