The new Kickstarter campaign aims to fund a guidebook compiling the wide variety of weird and wonderful sources of inspiration behind the iconic designs of Generation 1 Pokémon.
On The Origin: Kanto Edition is an illustrated guidebook exploring the mythology, biology and symbolism that has inspired each Pokémon from the Kanto region. Every Pokémon gets a double page spread featuring an infographic and a text breakdown, which is accompanied by original illustrations of the influences.
