The wall behind the bed was empty for the longest time. I always wanted to hang some picture there but it had to be something personal, something that would make me happy each time I'd look at it when I go to bed. I never found the right picture. Then, a short while ago, I had an idea: I could draw a huge map of Middle Earth on the wall!
I've been in love with Middle Earth and all of its adventurers ever since I've read The Hobbit as a kid. I also vividly remember my excitement when I unfolded the map in The Lord of the Rings for the first time.
So, a couple of hours later I had bought wall paint, brushes and also edding paint markers for the finer lines and got to work. I used a projector to be able to draw and paint as accurate as possible. It took me around 12 hours to finish it, over the span of a week. And I now get to sleep in Middle Earth every night!
