Hey, my name is Adam and I've been drawing comics about Depression Chicken and his friends for a year now. They are funny little stories about feelings, big or small worries and self-acceptance. I started doing them to help me cope with my depression and I remember a sudden momentum that made me go to an artist supply shop and buy paper, pencils and watercolours.
In the beginning I drew every single comic on the paper. It's a very nice process and I enjoyed it a lot. I scanned and digitally edited each drawing and posted it that way on my profile on Instagram. It definitely had a certain charming character. When my best friend, Warsaw illustrator Mroux, showed me how she draws on the tablet, I was sceptical at first, but after one try I loved it. Shortly after, I started doing my drawings completely digitally. And not only is it more fun, it makes my work much faster. In addition, I developed a font with my handwriting and have been using it ever since.
How do you like it?
