It takes Imogen Skelley many hours to complete her floral acrylic paintings.
Each one is made up of colourful details, and she has in the past likened them to "tapestries in paint" as they come together little by little using a small brush and vibrant colours which really sing.
More often than not, the flowers are in bright vases, jugs or mugs, but they can sometimes be still outdoors, as if they have not yet been picked ready to display indoors. Flat pattern and three dimensional images sit happily together - abstract but entirely recognisable for what they are.
It is not surprising that Imogen's work has been picked up by Northcott Fabrics for a range of material called "Floral Fantasy" ... who knows where her work will take her next? She can be found on facebook https://www.facebook.com/ImogenSkelleyArt/
