Every year, like a lot of parents, we have adopted the tradition of hiding our "Elf on the Shelf" around the house for our daughter to find. Last year, however, we changed it up a bit and made it a little more interesting. Through some creative planning, we had Elf embody some notable figures in history with exclamations of excellence. It was great fun and inspired our daughter to learn more. Now, she feels like she knows Harriet Tubman and Thomas Edison!
