Beca Beeby (yes its her real name!) began beekeeping in 2010 specifically so she could access the incredible honeycomb structures within the Hive. Her beautiful Honeycomb Jewellery is cast directly from the comb: Beca chooses the most beautiful, organic parts, then uses her metalworking skills to form unique wearable sculptures: a true collaboration with Bees!
The jewellery is made of solid silver, which Beca then either applies a Black Oxide to or 'Whitens' the Silver to give a beautiful finish.
All of Becas work is inspired by natural forms and structures seen in scientific research such as cell structures or neurons, and is made of silver, copper, porcelain and steel.
