My story. In 2020 on March 27th my daddy passed away from Covid. This mortgage company Freedom Mortgage has been trying to take our family home from my soon to be 77 year old mother. We've gotten several different story's from them. Let me fill you all in on the point of me needing help. So like I said my daddy passed in 2020 on March 27th from covid. Freedom Mortgage said that a month before my daddy passed away he had gotten a loan for 163,000. That year my daddy would have been turning 80. Well my mom & I knew nothing about it. We didn't find out about this loan until a year later after my daddy's passing when I decided to open up the mail to see what it was. Well my mom called them & asked what was going on & they said they couldn't give her any information about the loan because her name wasn't on it. That being said they want her to pay it because her name is on the trust of deed because her & my daddy own the house that they said he used as collateral. So my mom asked them well where did the money go and they told her again that they could not tell her because her name isn't on the loan they can't give her any information about it. So she asked them if there was a check issued and they said yeah the check was issued on April the 1st of 2020. Well all that changed after she told them my daddy passed in March then they said well no the first payment was supposed to be on April 1st of 2020 and the check was issued on February the 6th of 2020. Even that change later on down the line when my mom asked so if you come across the check we'll send it back to you. The guy on the phone tells her a loan doesn't work like that. I was a little confused at this point. Let me not leave out the fact that we know there was no mortgage because it had been paid off, so we were a little confused about why my daddy would take out a loan in that amount to start another mortgage & not tell me or my mother. Basically they're trying to take the home away from her. My mom is in no condition to more not alone have that kind of money. My mom has Alzheimer's dementia Parkinson's and other health issues so she is in no condition to try to move up out of her house and try to find another one. She has to go to dialysis three times a week and they said that she would have to do this for the rest of her life. I am 52 I have three children and a grandbaby I haven't been able to work because of health issues since 2012 I also haven't been able to get disability. I have also been diagnosed with dementia I have bad allergies I have backs problems where I have to have a shot every 3 months I have knee problems I have to have shots every 3 months in my knees and I have bad allergies that they told me that the doctor told me that I'm allergic to everything under the Sun including the Sun that I started off with having to have allergy shots once a week to now to once a month. Right now at this time I am my mother's caregiver the doctors told her she is not able to live alone well me and my children stay with her for right now. So her not having a roof over her head would mean we wouldn't have one over our head. So my mother is also losing her sight and with the Parkinson she shakes a lot so she's unable to right or sign things sometimes. Parkinson's messes with your nerves. So we sent the mortgage company my daddy's death certificate & everything else they asked for. They tell her she's not responsible for it so she didn't have to worry about it. So a few maybe two months go by & it valley starts all over again. We have a lawyer we went though all the loans & hud & everything else out state gives & they basically told us they can cover 3 months. Ok it's going on 3 years. So I'm reaching out for help. Every little bit counts. Everything given will go to the house & will be appreciated to the fullest. Thank you for reading my long story. God bless
